Creating a more healthy,
equitable future

A renewed commitment to achieve zero health disparities
In 2023, the St. Louis Regional Health Commission and Alive and Well Communities announced an affiliation to advance health equity. The new organization, Community Health Commission of Missouri, is dedicated to eliminating health disparities by promoting equity-centered, trauma-informed care.
Our mission is to ensure that all community members have access to affordable, available, accommodating and acceptable healthcare and resources, particularly those historically marginalized or underserved.
While we create a new unified website that reflects our mission and meets the diverse needs of our users, we invite you to learn more about our vision, resources and programs.

Policy and Advocacy
Our policy and advocacy efforts are key strategic priorities, which bolster our mission to improve access to health care, improve health outcomes, and eliminate health disparities. CHCM tracks legislative actions that could significantly affect health outcomes across Missouri and supports organizations in implementing trauma-informed policies to address institutional inequity. Learn about our efforts and sign up to receive updates on key legislation and regional advocacy opportunities.

Leadership
We can’t do this alone. Working alongside our Advisory Boards, we are able to receive direct input to our work and further identify the most important health issues in our communities. Whether a member on the Community Advisory Board, the Provider Services Advisory Board or the Patient Advisory Board, you can have your voice heard through your own experiences and expertise. Learn how you can become a part of this change.
