STL Tornado Relief Resources + Supports

One Year after the St. Louis Tornado Weekend: Community Events, Resources, and Opportunities to Engage

As St. Louis approaches the one-year mark following the May 16, 2025 tornado, organizations, residents, volunteers, and community partners across the region are coming together for a weekend of remembrance, service, reflection, and continued recovery support.

Below is a roundup of events, resources, and community opportunities shared through the Long-Term Recovery Committee (LTRC) network.

Community Events & Activities

A citywide list of approximately 20 events and activities has been compiled through the City of St. Louis and community partners.

These events include:

  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Community clean-up and service projects
  • Neighborhood gatherings
  • Reflection and remembrance activities
  • Resource fairs
  • Arts and storytelling events
  • Ongoing recovery support opportunities

STL Recovers: Tornado Anniversary Events

Community members can explore the full list of anniversary weekend activities through STL Recovers.

Red Brick Blue Tarp Documentary Screening

Community members are invited to attend a screening of Red Brick Blue Tarp, a documentary directed by Cami Thomas exploring stories connected to tornado recovery and community resilience.

Sat, May 16 at 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM (CDT)

The screening is hosted in collaboration with:
