Danielle joined the CHCM team (previously Alive & Well Communities) in April of 2023 as the Community Activation Manager in Kansas City. She currently serves as CHCM Senior Manager of Implementation in Kansas City.
Past Work
Danielle has a huge heart and passion for community and youth work where it all began after college as a para-professional for middle school autistic youth for a year. In 2014, Danielle transitioned her love for youth and community as a Before/Afterschool Program Director for LINC (Local Investment Commission) at Garfield Elementary. In this role, she managed the day-to-day operations for the school’s program with over 150 K-6th grade students.
In 2020, Danielle decided to expand her love for youth and transitioned her work with middle and high school youth as the Program Director for Youth Volunteer Corps. In her role, she managed community volunteer opportunities and school partnerships for all youth across the Kansas City metro area.
Danielle has managed several youth partnerships, but her most proud partnership is the work with 15 and Mahomies Foundation. For 2 years, Danielle organized the summer program with Youth Volunteer Corps in partnership with Patrick Mahome’s foundation in a summer initiative called “Volunteer for 15”. Her success from this program allowed her to meet the man of the NFL, twice and also a nation-wide feature of her work on CBS News.
Education and Involvement
Danielle earned a Bachelor of Science from Baker University.
Danielle served as an Alive & Well Steering Committee member before joining the AWC team. She currently serves as a Community Ambassador for the Kansas City Health Department.
Outside of her professional work, Danielle enjoys the three F’s: family, friends, and football – a huge Chiefs fan. She enjoys traveling, dare devil adventures, music, and trying new foods. In addition, Danielle is a certified yoga instructor and teaches classes weekly , including chair yoga, youth yoga, and community beginner-friendly yoga.
