What Matters Most to Your Community? Help Shape CHCM’s Legislative Priorities
What makes it harder for you, your family, or your neighbors to get the care and support you need? What would you like Missouri lawmakers to address?
As the Community Health Commission of Missouri (CHCM) develops our priorities for the 2026–2027 state legislative session, we want to hear from you. Our statewide policy agenda survey is an opportunity to share what matters most and help guide where we focus our advocacy.

Starting with Community Experience
Over the past few months, our three advisory boards participated in listening sessions and interactive data walks. Members reviewed health data, discussed local challenges, and shared their experiences navigating care and supporting their communities.
Those conversations shaped the priorities included in this survey. Now, we are inviting residents, caregivers, advocates, service providers, and partners across Missouri to add their perspectives. Whether you have a personal experience to draw on or see challenges through your work, your insight can help us better understand what needs to change.
Bringing Your Priorities to State Lawmakers
Decisions made in Jefferson City affect everyday life—from accessing healthcare to finding support for a loved one. Your feedback will help us identify the issues we bring to lawmakers and connect our advocacy to what people are experiencing across the state.
This process reflects our commitment to equity-centered, trauma-informed care (EC-TIC), including voice, choice, and agency. Creating opportunities for people to influence our priorities is one way we put those principles into practice. We bring policy knowledge and advocacy experience; you bring understanding of how these systems affect your life and community.
Take Five Minutes to Share Your Perspective
The survey takes less than five minutes. At the end, you can choose to share your email address to receive the results and/or enter a raffle for a $50 Visa gift card.
Your feedback is anonymous unless you choose to provide contact information for those purposes. Responses will inform CHCM’s work, and results will only be shared in aggregate.
We hope you’ll participate and share the survey with others in your community. Thank you for helping us build an agenda grounded in what matters to you.
