Dr. Danielle Binion Co-Authors New Article on Community-Driven Health Equity

The Community Health Commission of Missouri (CHCM) is proud to celebrate Dr. Danielle Binion, Chief Strategy Officer, on the publication of a new peer-reviewed article in Health Equity: “Improving Community-Driven Health Benchmarks Through University-Community Partnerships: Using Community Engagement to Establish the Center for African American Health in Kansas.”

Published online August 6, 2026, the article explores the development of the Center for African American Health at the University of Kansas Medical Center, now known as the Broderick Crawford Center for Advancing Community Health and Health Outcomes.

This work reflects many of the principles Dr. Binion continues to advance at CHCM: centering community voice, sharing power, building meaningful partnerships, and addressing the systems and conditions that shape health.

Congratulations to Dr. Binion and her co-authors on this publication and their continued contributions to the field of health equity!
